pleased to offer our patients the following services in a friendly and
comfortable environment.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic Dentistry encompasses so much more than just making your teeth look
beautiful. It is true that you can have a smile that is both beautiful and very
natural looking. However, cosmetic dentistry entitles you to so much more. It
is not only the look of your teeth but the comfort of those muscles, joints,
and your bite. It is the art of improving your health, comfort, and appearance.
Cosmetic Dentistry is focused on your personal needs! We ask what you want and
give it to you. Call us today to learn how we can give you the smile you deserve!
Diagnodent
Diagnodent is a major breakthrough that allows Dr. Johnson to detect tooth decay
that x-rays cannot see. We can now locate hidden decay in it's earliest
stage, and with treatment stop the spread of the disease before it destroys
the tooth from within.
For more information, please click on the Diagnodent link on the Home page.
Full Mouth Dental Rehabilitation
We use highly effective techniques which are used to reconstruct teeth that
are badly broken down or in poor condition.
Dr. Johnson will be happy to discuss proper treatment with you prior to any
work being done. We here at Dr. Johnson’s office always put our patients
first and want them to know that we have their best interest in mind!
Tooth Colored Fillings
A composite (tooth colored) filling is used to repair teeth affected by decay,
cracks, chips, and fractures. The decayed or affected portion of the tooth is
removed and then filled with tooth colored material. Composite fillings are
closely matched to the color of existing teeth and are stronger and more aesthetically
pleasing than silver fillings.

Dental Implants
Implants are an increasingly popular alternative to dentures and
bridges. Restoring your smile to its natural beauty has never been
easier. Implants provide the most advanced solution for missing teeth,
allowing you to talk, eat and smile with absolute confidence. They have
many advantages, including their natural appearance, improved comfort
and unequaled convenience. If you are considering implants, we can
discuss the considerations and help you make the decision that is right
for you.
Bonding
Tooth bonding is a special resin deposit that adheres to your teeth and becomes
as strong as your natural enamel. It can solve many cosmetic problems including
stained teeth, gapped or chipped teeth, decayed teeth, or misalignment.
Bonding is a low-cost way to improve your smile. It is great for children
who have chipped front teeth and for adults who need an alternative for veneers.
Metal Free Crowns
A crown (or cap) is a covering that encases the entire tooth surface restoring
it to its original shape and size. A crown protects and strengthens tooth structure
that cannot be restored with fillings or other types of restorations. There
are many reasons for a crown including broken or fractured teeth, severally
decayed teeth, and teeth that have had Root Canals or large fillings.
Although there are several types of crowns, porcelain (tooth colored, metal
free crowns) are the most popular, because they resemble your natural teeth.
We want to make your smile as genuine as possible and will not fill your mouth
full of metal!
Dental
Bridges
A dental bridge is
a fixed (non-removable) appliance and is an excellent way to replace missing
teeth. It can also help to maintain your facial shape, prevent remaining teeth
from moving, restore your chewing and speaking ability, and perfect your smile!
There are several different types of bridges. We will discuss all of the options
with you so that you can choose and get the exact smile that you want!
Dentures & Partials
Complete dentures are used to replace teeth when there are no teeth
remaining. The dentures are prefabricated acrylic teeth, which come in many
sizes, shapes, and shades. They are processed into a custom made base which
is made to intimately and comfortably fit the gum tissue in your mouth.
A partial denture is a removable appliance that replaces missing teeth. It
is supported by your existing teeth and fills in those unwanted gaps. It will
help to regain the aesthetics and chewing and speaking functions that you require.
Full mouth denture treatments will involve the extraction of any remaining
teeth, making impressions to give that perfect, snug fit, and a final fitting
appointment. Partial dentures consist of appointments made to examine the health
of remaining teeth, taking impressions, and custom fitting the partial appliance.
Root Canal
Root canal treatment, also known as endodontic treatment, is a dental
procedure in which the diseased or damaged nerve (pulp) of a tooth is removed
so that the tooth can be saved or restored. The disease or damage of the pulp
is usually due to excessive decay or trauma. If the decay is left untreated,
an abscess can form at the base of the tooth’s root and can cause a painful
infection.
The root canal procedure involves taking out the decay and replacing the dead
nerves with an inert material relieving the pain of the prior infection. The
tooth may be sensitive for a few days afterward, however the discomfort will
subside and ultimately bring relief.
